Facilities
Library
About 8,400 volumes, thirteen periodicals and four daily newspapers — two Kannada, one English, one Urdu. Open 9:30 am to 5:30 pm including the lunch hour. Every student may borrow two books at a time for a fortnight. The reference section, which holds the competitive-examination material, is for use inside the library only, because those books walk.
Reading room for girls
A separate room of twenty places, added in 2022 with Zilla Panchayat funds. It is open until 6:00 pm. It exists because a girl who travels home on the 5:15 bus has nowhere at home to study after dark, and we were losing students to that and nothing else.
Computer room
Twenty desktop machines on a broadband line, open through the day and supervised in the afternoon. Used for the computer literacy sessions, for filling in scholarship applications on the SSP portal, and for the online examination-form process, which is otherwise a trip to Bidar and a fee at a browsing centre.
Playground
Four acres, with marked courts for kabaddi, kho-kho and volleyball, and a 200-metre track. The college team reached the Bidar district kabaddi semi-final in 2025. Morning drill is at 8:45 am, before first period.
Drinking water and toilets
A borewell with an overhead tank and four RO taps, tested quarterly by the taluk health office. Separate toilet blocks for boys and girls on both teaching blocks, cleaned twice daily. The last inspection report is on the notice board, as the rules require, and we intend to keep it there whatever it says.
Scholarship and guidance cell
One clerk and one lecturer, in Room 3, every working afternoon. They fill in SSP applications, chase pending caste and income certificates at the taluk office, and explain what a student is entitled to. In 2025–26 the cell got 289 of our 412 students onto a post-matric scholarship.
What we do not have
No hostel, no canteen and no bus of our own. Students bring lunch from home or buy it in the village. We say this plainly because a family choosing a college needs to know it before admission, not after.
