Library — new competitive examination section

The library has received 340 new titles for the competitive examination section, funded by the alumni association.

The section covers KAS preliminary, PSI, FDA and SDA, banking, and the RRB examinations, with general studies, Kannada, English and quantitative aptitude material for each. Previous years' question papers for the last eight years are included.

These are reference books. They may be used inside the library, in the reference room, but not borrowed. This is not meanness — the last set of competitive examination books we lent out did not come back, and a book that is not on the shelf helps nobody.

The library is open 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, including the lunch hour. The reference room has twenty-two places and they are usually all taken by 11 am, so come early.

Alumni who would like to add to the section should speak to the Librarian. What is most wanted at the moment is current-affairs material, which goes out of date faster than we can buy it.
