Admissions
Admission to I PUC for the academic year 2026–27 is open. There is no entrance test and no donation. Seats are filled in order of SSLC marks, against the reservation roster the Department publishes.
Who can apply
Anyone who has passed SSLC (Class 10) from the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board, CBSE, ICSE or an equivalent board recognised by the Department of Pre-University Education. Students who have failed one or two subjects may apply provisionally and will be admitted once they clear the supplementary examination.
How to apply
- Collect the application form from the college office, or fill in the admission enquiry form and we will keep a form aside for you.
- Bring the completed form to the office with the documents listed below, between 10:30 am and 4:00 pm on a working day.
- The clerk will check the documents and give you a receipt with an application number. Keep it.
- Selection lists are put up on the college notice board and on the notices page of this website. You do not need to telephone to ask; the list goes up the same day it is made.
- Report within four working days of the list appearing, or the seat goes to the next student on it.
What to bring
- SSLC marks card — original, and two photocopies
- Transfer Certificate from the school last attended — original
- Caste and income certificate, where a reserved seat or a scholarship is claimed
- Aadhaar card photocopy
- Four passport-size photographs
- Student's bank passbook photocopy, for scholarship transfer
If a certificate is delayed at the taluk office, come anyway and say so. We will admit provisionally and note what is pending. Nobody loses a seat over a document that a government office has not yet issued.
